Two Week Blogging Break

Hey lovely followers and readers! I just wanted to let you know that I will be taking a 2 week break from blogging. Don't worry, I will be back. I love blogging and it's a passion that I would like to continue to steward and grow in. However, I don't want to be burnt out from trying to stay consistent. Thus, a two week break is needed.

Hope you are all well,

-Danielle

The Living One

This is who He is. And by His being we live and have our being. So read this list, but not just to read it. Read it to provoke you, comfort you, encourage you, and to usher you to the fear of the LORD. This is our hope. And the best part is, when we serve Him and follow after Him, we are His! This should stir your heart and bring confidence to your spirit.

Fun and S'mores

Last Friday night the older kids and i loaded up to head to province for outreach, 10 minutes out we got a text that it was flooded and canceled. Okay, sweet, I can get the grocery shopping list done! We quickly zipped our way through traffic and headed to a little grocery store. After getting a basket full we loaded up to go him. Then realizing that I forget something important, (Milk, how could I forget milk?!?) we turned around and went to yet another little mini mart. At this one we found, graham crackers (WHAT?!?! Graham crackers in Cambodia? am I in Cambodia?), marshmallows, chocolate, and buy one get one on Fun Dip???? (WOAH Flash back!)

The kids had no idea what was stirring in my mind, but I knew once we got home, I would teach them the ways of Fun Dip and S'mores! Everyone loved the S'mores but a few thought that the Fun Dip was a little too sweet and sour.

Here are some photos to tell the story!

xoxo, Danielle

Grace Day

”At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.[a] 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:25-30

An Invitation from our Father

Dear beloved, this is something that the LORD spoke to me in prayer today. I feel like this word is an invitation from our good Father to step into something greater. I ask that you would quiet your Spirit, open your heart, and listen to what the LORD may speak to you as you read this.

My 25th

As I sat in a hotel room on the eve of my 25th birthday, I thought writing a blog about this past year would be interesting, but too cliché. What about goals for my 25th year of life? Too common.  However, I stumbled upon this idea while searching the internet for 25 year old jokes and anecdotes.

Dear Volunteers and short term visitors to Children Homes,

But dear visitors, these kids don’t forget. You may be here one day and gone the next but they remember. They remember all of them. I love having help, I love having people come in and help me through the thick and thin. But I have a hard time dealing with the aftermath and the damage it can do to all of the little hearts here. Wiping away the tears that fall as if they weighed a ton is disheartening.
